Sylvia Farber, owner and founder of 101 Advocacy, holds a BA in Special Education and Elementary Education from Florida Southern College and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Florida State University. Sylvia has 10 years experience in various special education settings, including classroom teacher, Special Education Department Head, and Alternative Certification Instructor; she has eight years experience as an advocate helping families through the ARD and and 504 process. Sylvia is the married mother of two children--one with developmental delays.
Cynthia Villaplana, a recent addition to 101 Advocacy, is bilingual in Spanish and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Alternative Certification in the areas of Generalist EC-4 and Special Education PK-12 from Region 20 Service Center. Cyndi has 10 years teaching experience in various special education settings, including self-contained, resource, co-teach, and inclusion. She is the married mother of three children-one with multiple disabilities including cerebral palsy and visual impairment.
April Langston, an advocate with 101 Advocacy for 4 years, holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Orleans and a Master's Degree from Sam Houston State University. April holds an Educational Diagnostician Certificate. She has 34 years experience in various special education settings and 6 years experience as Director of Special Education in Boerne ISD. She is a widowed step-mother of four grown children and a grandparent of a child with Down's Syndrome.
