Sylvia Farber, owner and founder of 101 Advocacy, holds a BA in Special Education and Elementary Education from Florida Southern College and a Master's Degree in Special Education from Florida State University. Sylvia has 10 years experience in various special education settings, including classroom teacher, Special Education Department Head, and Alternative Certification Instructor. She has been helping families navigate the special education process since 2008. Sylvia is the married mother of two children--one with developmental delays.

Cynthia Villaplana

Cynthia Villaplana is bilingual in Spanish and holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Alternative Certification in the areas of Generalist EC-4 and Special Education PK-12 from Region 20 Service Center.  Cyndi has 10 years teaching experience in various special education settings, including self-contained, resource, co-teach, and inclusion. She is the married mother of three children-one with multiple disabilities including cerebral palsy and visual impairment.

April Langston, an advocate with 101 Advocacy for 5 years, holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of New Orleans and a Master's Degree from Sam Houston State University. April holds an Educational Diagnostician Certificate. She has 34 years experience in various special education settings and 6 years experience as Director of Special Education in Boerne ISD. She is a widowed step-mother of four grown children and a grandparent of a child with Down's Syndrome.
